The Rev. Christopher Harpster
Deacon
The Rev. Christopher Harpster is serving as Deacon to the Parish of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kingsport, TN.
He was ordained as a Vocational Deacon in December of 2007. He serves as the youth coordinator for grades 6 through 12.
Deacon Chris brings over 20 years of experience of working with young adults to the parish.
He has successfully served as youth director of two other Episcopal churches and has started curriculums like Journey 2 Adulthood in which the young adults have responded well.
Deacon Chris also has served for the last eight years as the chaplain of the Episcopal University Ministry at East Tennessee State University.
Deacon Chris has been married to his wife Deborah for 15 years. Together they are raising three wonderful children.
They have two sons and a daughter ranging in age from 9 to 13 years of age. The whole family is very active in the parish and they enjoy calling St. Paul’s their church home.
